This project was apart of a collaboration between Florida State College at Jacksonville and the U.S. State Department. As a class we worked with the Offices of American Spaces to come up with design options for the America 250 Hero project. This campaign was intended to celebrate the 250th birthday of the U.S. through the voices of  American heroes. We were tasked to create graphics that could be shown in different Offices of American Spaces around the world. Our class was split into groups that each focused on a different hero and style. My groups hero was Aretha Franklin.
One of my responsibilities in our group was to create a series of 15 second videos in vertical format that would highlight the accomplishments of my hero. I chose to create a continuous video that could be cut into 15 second intervals or played as one video all together. Since scrapbooking was the style we were tasked with following, I chose to create an animated scrapbook that would showcase interesting facts about Aretha Franklin and highlight the accomplishments she made throughout her life and singing career.
